A judge in the midwestern U.S. state of Indiana handed down the sentence Friday for 51-year-old musician Eric Rosser, who was captured in August 2001 in Bangkok, Thailand after an 18-month manhunt. He pled guilty in July to charges of producing and distributing child pornography. Rosser was first arrested on child porn charges in Thailand in February 2000, but vanished one month before his trial. He changed his appearance with plastic surgery and traveled through the United States and Europe before returning to Bangkok where he was eventually caught. Rosser is a talented pianist, and ran a music school in Thailand. He once played backup for American rock musician John Mellencamp, and appeared in at least one of his music videos. Good they caught him and got him off the streets of bangkok. He'll now be learning the special ways inmates deal with such offenders.
