Guest
Northwest Airlines is cutting operations at Osaka, Japan. While this doesn't directly affect flights to BKK because everyone going to BKK always did transit at Tokyo Narita, it could make seats more scarce on flights to NRT. People flying to Manila must now transit at NRT or Nagoya, and will be competing for seats along with people going to Bangkok. Flights to Osaka from Los Angeles and Seattle will also be discontinued October 28. See the news release at NWA News Release
Old Hippie
Rumor is, other carriers will pick up the routes. There is also talk of routes opening up between Chicago and BKK as well as Minniapolis or Detroit and BKK, so I guess we shall see!
