JJsushi
I used to buy the Thaitel cards but got sick of the hit and miss quaility. I used to use ATT and MCI but got sick of paying the monthly fees and being locked into a plan. I switched to www.net2phone.com and www.onesuite.com Excellent VOIP quality, inexpensive(I pay .15 per minute to a mobile and I think .06 to a landline) rarely a busy signal and cheap, no monthly fee. You set up your account online, buy calling time in in dollar amounts, recharge the account when you want. You can use the card to call anywhere you want. US-US calls are .03 per minute. I've seen some rates as low as 12 Cents/min on calling cards, but this doesn't seem to be low for calling cards. Would appreciate some information from Sanukers in the US calling their tilacs in LOS. Try www.1st4phonecards.com, they email the card details to you, and have a "call calulator" which searches through dozens of cards to find the best rate. I found 9.9c for landline, and 18.1c for cellular for US-LOS for you. Seems to work fine from UK !
steffi
There are Thai LA based companies that can do much better than that and all you have to do is buy your pin over the phone or internet. It's quite simple. These days you don't have to wait for anything to arrive in the mail.
