Guest
I believe there is a custom belt shop ( and probably manufactorer) in Ploenchit center. Main floor, I think look around it's on the right hand side.
khwaimaisabai
Hi gringo, There is a custom made belt place in Amarin Tower, near Chit Lom station - the building with Macdonalds on the ground floor. It is on the first floor (second floor in American) towards the back - sort of behind Snax. Khwai
Old Hippie
I think there is a good leather shop on Soi 10 called Tony's or something, a guy on this board swears by them...
OCgringo
Thanks old hippie..... right now the problem seems to be finding the right hardware , buckels and ends,,,,, I have gone to the places in chinatown but they do not have anything wide enough. Back in California the hardware would not be the problem , so if it does not work this time I will bring the hardware over on my next visit..... Guest
here's a strange thought, I have no idea what kind of hardware you are looking for, but if it is utilitarian, try finding a harness maker, in a country that still uses beasts of burden they have to have harness makers. Maybe one of your bgs can get you a discount from the family buffalo's habadasher.
OCgringo
no its really that the belt buckels here look to modern, I need a 50s look.... but the leather guys have been offering me the "buffolo" leather option !
Guest
buffalo leather is serious long wearing tough stuff. just get your buckles back in ths US at Tandy or at a tent/awning maker. Utilitarian look stuff if thats what you seek.
OCgringo
Well I figured its all made in China these days anyway , its just that the places I found in Chinatown had fancy stuff this just needs to be basic , Yeah I guess I will bring some over next time..... but if I have to buy them at home , might be easier to get it done in TJ , Mexico , only a couple hours from home...... just trying to keep the buffolo here feed by bringing my business to Thailand....
