It doesn`t really mean "leave" only in the sense of dumping someone. Awk Pbai or Awk, (Ãáä») you can use both, no slang involved here. Awk is both a intransitive verb, an adverb and a preposition. Pbai is also used in thai to show actions away from location of speaker whileas subsequently Maa is used to show actions towards the location of the speaker. AFAIK fan laew ting = boyfriend already throw away (boyfriend dumped already). I, of course, could be wrong, but I've never heard "fan" (faen)= "have sex" before. No universal agreement, so things can get very screwed up. Can be quite funny actually. For the longest time, my g/f would say 'God". Took me 2 months to figure out she was asking me for a 'hug'.
