Guest Posted April 9, 2004 Report Share Posted April 9, 2004 Ruu = know Ruu jak = know a person web page here says, "do you know World Trade Center"?, is using "ruu jak" to know a place. I'm confused. I thought 'ruu jak' could only be used in referring to a person, and not a place. ???? Example: 'Phom mai ruu jak khao' = I do not know that person. Rong ram nee mai ruu = I don't know this hotel. I also know 'jak' = 'from', as in 'khun ma jak nai?' (where you come from?).
