Doctor, heal thyself

From The Nations' "Dear English Doctor" learn English section.

"...In hindsight, we are always cleverer than before so sometimes we wish we could change the past. For these situations, we use past perfect.

* I wish I had studied harder, then I would have past the exam .

* I wish I hadn't lost my lottery ticket. I had all the right numbers."

Guess the "past" isn't always "perfect".

Hi,

You forgot 'cleverer'. I do not think that is a word in English.

Sanuk!

Excellent!

Idea for NP $$: submit menus, signs, ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSONS/NEWSPAPER ARTICLES to NP board. For a small fee, we'll rip them to pieces.
