Guest
There have been a few sporatic outbreaks of bird flu. A few people have already died (Vietnam). What is interesting is the Thai officials claim if they vacinate, the bird flu may mutate and cross over to people. Knowing this, some want to vacinate! New Petchburi Pete
Yes, The fact that the bird flu mutated, and can infect pigs is very frightening. China has also admitted that this occured in 2003 and 2002 as well! The prospect that any further mutation could lead to human infections is very ominous indeed. New Petchburi Pete
Now, it's been reported in Malaysia, near the Thai border!
Guest
What I find scary is none of the governments seem to be concerned that if the virus mutates and crosses over to humans, that it could be the largest health disaster in history. It is as if they are waiting till it does happens. Stupid thinking.
New Petchburi Pete
OK, I think it's time to start giving flu shots to the chickens, geese, etc., etc. I wish this crap could vanish ...
