You're missing one significant point. It's not about simply administering 200 million people, it's 200 million muslim people that, in some ways, sympathize with the cause of the people perpetrating these acts. That's why Megawati can't get too tough with the JI. Until someone in Indonesia has the balls to truely stand up to the JI, the threat will not decrease. Islam is very suseptible to these sorts of cultist, and the mainstream muslims just dont have the ability to overcome it. Until they take responsibilty for the fact that it is their set of backward, and superstious beliefs that allows this to flurish it will continue. Islamic reformaition anyone? Not likely. Oh yes you can find historical examples in other religions as well, and even modern day versions (jim jones, david koresh ect the KKK) but these pockets are small, marginalized, and decried by the mainstream. You will not find this in Islam, other than lip service. The world needs to support and encourage the kinds of changes needed to bring these people into the modern world. Or we have to be willing to destroy them to save the rest of the human race. Harsh I know but it seems the only route. The current level of hard core cultist is probably measured in the thousands, if allowed to continue it could reach millions at that stage, all bets are off.
