The Thai - oh i'm wrong sorry, i want to say - the Isarn population - :: is still growing here.
Redbaron
Huge down in Melbourne. Miss Red has given the thumbs up to about half the ones we visited, even if the waitresses were Japanese and Chinese students. Nothing beats the home cooked stuff though, cheaper and you get more! limbo
Huge in Amsterdam Phil, you can find Thai eateries on every corner there almost nowadays. Not too sure about the quality of all of them, but I know a few good ones. Out in the countryside it's more difficult finding authentic Thai food, a lot of the food is westernized, mostly in some kind of Chinese style. Was back in Holland this year and was surprised by a few restaurants which I remembered as having good Thai food and it was some kind of Chinese fusion, not very tasty at all when you know a bit more about the Thai kitchen. Guest
A small thai place near my work has has 3 sets of owners. latest set up is real close to authentic thai restraunt. mediocre food, poor service, high prices, messed up orders, understaffed. ( and the staff does not seem to understand english or thai) as a compairson, the thai/lao places we g to in the "asian" part of san diego are very good. decent food, service, prices. good service. thalenoi
"Raan Ahaan Thai" sprouting as mushroom in Belgium, most of them tasteless however....but BB knows a few exceptions... (this beer drinking place in Diegem where they also serve real thai food?) Spent some time in Montreal though, and what they call "thai restaurant" there is just a sad joke...
