Khun_Kong Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 When I asked GF about the closed until midnight policy, long after the bars have closed, she gave me a Thai "you poor ignorant farang" look and patiently explained that the upcountry vote-buying-booze-giveaways that are promised before the voting and done after the polls close wouldn't be as successful if the country folk could get booze at the usual joint.
