sfinkz
Surely there has to be a few relics lurking about from the Golden Age (1985-88) of Vietnam War Filmmaking in Thailand when four major productions rolled in one after another? Used to be a great excuse to get out of the office and town ("Sorry boss, gotta go make a movie"). Robin Williams was beloved for years after by the Thai production crew, I run into him around town (on bicycles) from time-time and he still gets a chuckle out of it. I also recall explaining the ropes to Sean Penn in a Patong bar as he plied me with Singhas a month before marrying Madonna. Or Michael J. Fox siccing his bodyguard on me after stripping him clean in a pick-up basketball game. And it was obvious Robert Downey Jr. had some kind of problem. Damn, those were good times. Belem
The Russian roulette scene in the Deer Hunter with Christopher Walken was shot in the Mississippi Queen Bar in Patpong.
