Guest
This is from the TMVC web site. "Dengue fever is manifested by fever, nausea, and bad headaches and body pains. There is no preventive vaccine available, but although there is no specific curative treatment most cases will get better with simple rest, paracetamol and rehydration. More intensive medical treatment may be needed if recovery is not quick or if there is bleeding .into the skin or from the gut. Such complications, which may herald DHF, are more likely to occur in children but adults are not exempt. Travellers must take intensive precautions against mosquito bites. Do not travel without a good supply of DEET- containing insect repellant, and despite the heat, cover up as much as possible. "
