Hello fellows,

Can someone please recommend a hotel near Nanaplaza for around 600 - 900 Baht/day?

I usually stay the Dynasty Inn or Nana, but have gotten a bit tired of it and want to try something new.

There is another hotel called Nana something on Soi 4. A little further than the infamous Nana hotel. Does anyone know the exact name?

Thanks for your help.

all the way down soi 4, next to the Tobacco Monopoly. Noisy chickens early in the morning on the canal / tobacco side.

the pool does not get sunshine, depending on the time of year, until around 11am because it is blocked by the building. pool closes at 10pm.

rooms from 800 baht and up... you can email them directly and make reservations:

print out your email confirmation, when I showed up at 1am one time, they said they were full and could not find my booking. I showed them the printout, then my room, as I had requested majically appreared no problem.

a bit far from the main action, but OK for the price.

4th floor rooms were 800 baht, one bedroom, with living room. the higher up, the more expensive.

100 baht more per night if you want breakfast.

no hassles about guests, but depending on the time of night you come in, they will take the gals i.d. card.

they have a free tuk tuk to take you down the soi, but sometimes traffic jams up and it is faster to walk.

Try the Raijah Hotel...next to Annies! I think they are around 700 baht...Don't expect much. I like fucking hookers in shit holes like this one it's just so seedy and fun!

there is also the crown on soi 6. good thing about the Crown is the mirrors, angled mirrors next to the bed, and on the ceiling! about 600 - 700 baht these days, if you really want to stay in a classic shithole. Kind of a time trip to the old GI R and R days of yore.

Though I would say that the Rajah is dirtier (in terms of actual lack of cleanliness) than the crown. Mold growning on the walls of the Rajah. 800 at the Rajah, I thought. disgusting breakfast included. The worst coffee I have ever had...

Seriously, I think there are scabies in some of the beds of the Rajah... and it is certainly possible that the mosquitos all carry AIDS... (LOL)

one really funny thing that I observed in the Rajah on more than one occassion, the maids coming out of rooms with the security guards during the afternoons.

Who says you can't work and enjoy yourself, too??!!

Even though I have not stayed there for about 5 or 6 years, the pool guy still recognizes me and greets me whenever he sees me around the area. Gotta love that!

and back to the original question, also on Soi 4 is the Woraburi Inn, closer than the nantati. a little lively, but in the 900 baht range, clean, and gal friendly, too.

Premier on Soi 22 (or is it soi 20?) is also a cheap option. 800 per night, 700 per if you book a week at a time. They have rooms without windows on one side, for those that really want that Dungeon Experience... rooms facing the street have windows, precious few of which will actually open...

Unbelievable.

Who would stay in any of these hotels after reading the above.

Just to save a few bahts.

Hotel room with no windows?

Come on now. You might as well get a copy of Lonely Planet and go to page 183 and pick "Places to stay - budget" !

:yikes:

when I looked at the rooms without windows at the Premier, I asked, do they really have 'no windows? or is it a very small window? or is there a window in the bathroom?'

sure enough, NO windows, means no windows.

'some customer like sleep'

was the reply from the staff at the Premier... (no pool at the Premier is another BIG weak point!)

back to the original question again,

Soi 11/1 has lots of Indian run small hotels which are all equally crappy if you are trying to save money. A little noisy around there.
