boemba
Can anyone recommend a good place to 'learn' transcendental meditation in Bangkok? I am looking for a somewhat comfortable place (not in the backyard of a temple outside in the heat of day) and teaching can be in English or Thai. Pharcyde
yep, i started that thread and got sound advice to go to a retreat centre near suratthani in the south. Its called Suan Mokkh, just do a search here or on the web, theres plenty of information. I can hightly recommend such a retreat, if you have the time, it takes only ten days to reach enlightenment. On a more serious note, it WAS a very interesting experience that I wouldnt want to be without. In Bangkok there are several places to find meditation courses, but I cant remember the names. I believe they appear in the thread from a couple of months ago, just do a search. You might want to consider the hustle, bustle and boomtown traffic of bangkok as being a little opposed to the calmity a meditation retreat should offer. Good luck.
