Pat_from_Jersey Posted August 31, 2005 Report Share Posted August 31, 2005 Personally, (after too much anguish and ambivalence) I finally decided to stay at the Nana in BKK (deluxe room B1600 from 12/27/05 to 01/01/06), then off to Pattaya to the Areca Lodge B1695 for Deluxe Room (faces pool). I had reviewed literally dozens of choices and I believe (for various reasons, these are THE BEST - well, at least for me, IMOP). The Superior rooms at Areca are going for B1895 (in-room safe, robe). I decided to "live it up" and "move up" while in Pattaya. BY US standards its $50 per night, a shit hole over here. I heard many good things about the Areca (and NOTHING bad)!
