John_Betong
There are five houses on a street. Each house is a different color. Each house is inhabited by a different person. Each person has a different preferred beverage, preferred brand of ciggy and pet animal. The question is-- who owns the fish? Hints: 1. The Brit lives in the red house. 2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets. 3. The Dane drinks tea. 4. The green house is on the left of the white house. 5. The green house owner drinks coffee. 6. The person who smokes Pall Malls keeps birds. 7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhills. 8. The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk. 9. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats. 10. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhills. 12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer. 13. The German smokes Princes. 14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. 15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water. There are no tricks, pure logic will get you the correct answer, and yes, there is enough information to arrive at the one and only correct answer. This took me a long long time to find the answer but it was well worth the effort Please do not put the answer on here as other people might want to try it. Hints can be sent to individuals by PM on request. If you use pen and paper then the latter better be big! No cheating by looking on the internet. Enjoy, John_Betong

BelgianBoy
Hi John, I remember this from university, this puzzle was attributed to Einstein if i remember well. If I also remember it right, only 2 % of the population can solve this...... I just remembered the hard work then, never to forget the answer, send per PM by the way. John_Betong
Hi, Congratulations to all who PM me, they all got the correct answers, well done. It took me about an hour by the way. Immediately after posting I did think of modifying the clues and changing the red, green, blue... houses to gogo bars, changing the drinks to substitute the water & milk to singha, Heinekin, Jack coke! Also the pets to favourite food such as Green Curry, Pizza, Tom Yam, etc. Question as to "Who got the Stunner, Fat/thin Lady, lady-boy or Katoey", then submitting in the General section:) Cheers, John_Betong
khwaimaisabai
BelgianBoy said: and you are leading a sanukers' life Hi bb, Just nice to have a distraction to turn to between bouts of work. Now just watching the sun set over the Arabian Gulf and wondering whether I will stop off for a beer on my way home. Probably. Then try and do the daily sudokuko (sp?) number puzzle. Sanuk, Khwai
