Lamock Chokaprret
Was getting a language lesson from my Thai box last night and determined that there are at least three words for box in Thai: klawng - small box heep - box that closes with fasteners? dtoo - larger box like a closet I know there are many derivatives: klawng sy cigar - cigar box heep sy seu-uh - suitcase dtoo sy seu-uh - clothes closet dtoo sy gap kaow - cupboard dtoo yen - refrigerator She seemed to imply that a klawng could be carried while a dtoo could not. Needless to say I pointed out that I could probably carry a larger box than she could, so how was I to classify these intermediates? No point in describing her reaction. Any insight into the various boxes here in Thailand? [ July 24, 2001: Message edited by: Lamock Chokaprret ]
khunsanuk
Hi, "dtoo yet - refrigerator" I assume this is a typo and you meant 'dtoo yen'? 'dtoo yet' would be what? Fuck box? Sanuk!

Fuck box?" There are fuck boxes. Didn't Boris Becker knock up that Russian model in a "broom cupboard" in a Japanese restaurant in London? These conveniences should be installed in every restaurant in Bangkok! Forthwith!
