Specifically, the local shops have Ong Bok with optional English/Thai audio and english subtitles, but no optional Thai script subtitles. Thanks for your sugestions. khwaimaisabai
Hi guys, Another one is ethaicd.com I tried to buy some VCD's once but they could not deliver to my country of residence for some reason. One comment - should you not be careful of DVD zones? Thailand is in zone 3, afaik, which means that DVD's bought there will only play in SE Asia, Taiwan, Korea (?) but definitely not in Europe, Australia, N America. That's my understanding anyway and why I tried to get VCD. Khwai

Khwai The DVD's I bought in Thailand, and some were from what seemed to be big serious chains, were zone 0, as in will play on any DVD player. Old Hippie
I bought a region free playeron Ebay, works great!! can be had for as little as $50 or so! My understanding many players are now region free, but don't advertise it...cheaper to make them all the same I guess...
AF16
Forgot that in the US region free players are not as common as in Europe. My two latest DVD players, Thompson and Yamaha both were region free. Put standard to 0, and can change regions with the remote on DVD's with watermarks.
