limbo
What's the deal in Thailand with re- enacting the scenes? I must say that I don't really get that. Anybody more insight in this.
Stickman
You?re not the only one who doesn?t get it. Can the accused refuse to re-enact it? What happens if they do? It would seem that it shreds any chance they have of a defence to bits! Stick
Nervous_Dog
Every time it happens, they re-enact it, the accused happilly going along, seems really odd!
Flashermac
It seems if you plead guilty, you get a lighter sentence. In capital cases, a killer who confesses his guilt -- presumably by re-enacting the crime -- generally gets life. If he refuses to cooperate, he gets zapped. I had to laff a few times with the guilty guy was in cuffs sitting at the police desk ( shown on tv) when the victum or their spouse runs up and gets to give him a few whacks before the police convince her to stop. a little " pre-justice"
pattaya127
Not surprised. I was almost assaulted by a mob of monkeys in Lopburi, though I never ever raped one of them! :D

Sort of like wrap a person up in chains and throwing them into the lake. If they sink to the bottom then you know they were OK. Guess we sort of do the same in the states. If the accused refuses to admit his guilt (i.e. show remorse) the judge will hammer him with a stiff sentence.

There are the temple monkeys and the city monkeys, and they fight with each other on sight. Quite obviously, they mistook you for one of the other faction.
