Funnyman Richard Pryor Dies

Well, I realize you don't know anything about me, but I was smokin' stuff in '71, droppin' stuff in '73 and snortin' stuff in '75. I was sorta advanced for my age, you see? By the time I reached Uni, when most people only start such things, I was already bored with it. ::

Truth be told, probably the main reason I didn't "get it" was, frankly, I was a white kid living in upscale suburban America.

Although Pryor's routine on SNL in '76 about droppin' stuff was spot-on hilarious. ::

i admit i don't find a lot of American Humour funny.

never saw anything in his standup routine which really made me laugh.

the examples you gave of British humour are not standup and i again think Bean was so puerile.

MP are a National Institution but i still find much of their stuff unfunny.

funniest standup comedian for me is Billy Connolly, far superior to Pryor.

it's very strange for me.

i love humour and like what i like but if it's not funny then i don't like it (does that make sense)?

never liked Pryor,Williams or Dangerfield in standup or their comedic Films.

and who was the Fella caught wanking in a Porno Cinema?........

i started to like Robim Williams when he went serious and started to make thrillers.

he turned out to be quite a good Actor and good to watch.

Imsonia with Pacino was good and i was gripped.

and i just found that the American re-makes of British Comedies were clueless.

but at least the attitude is changing with Series like 'Sex In The City' and 'Weeds'

the 'BAD ' words are coming out and that is real life.

but i will admit that Married With Children was funny and Christina Applegate is a REAL BABE........... :elephant:
