(I used to stay there before) As mercure is part of Accor hospitality group and as it is the same regional management for both novotel-mercure I was suprised to read that the mercure is guest friendly........ SingaporeSteve Posted April 6, 2006 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 I have never had a problem at the Grand Mercure - I book online - now actually put in the booking its for 2 people but its only ever me who checks in - last time I stayed there (10 days ago or so), security guy checked the manifest and said have a good evening - he did not take the girls ID, but sometimes they do and do not check the manifest. When I checked out the next day the manifest print out was on reception and I could see next to my name that the room was reserved for 2 people. Funny I had no idea that the Novotel had changed its policy on Soi 33 - its a bit of a dump anyway - so they must be under pressure to increase the revenues to keep the Indian owner happy.
