EasySt
I think Singapore is probably the best choice and you can have your Thai GF come out anytime you want.
Hidy Ho
Start spreading the news I'm leaving today I want to be a part of it, New York, New York These vagabond shoes Are longing to stray And make a brand new start of it New York, New York I want to wake up in the city that never sleeps To find I'm king of the hill, top of the heap These little town blues Are melting away I'll make a brand new start of it In old New York If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere It's up to you, New York, New York. Nervous_Dog
Hi IB3, KL is as modern as Singapore, cheaper, and in many ways nicer. A lot more modern than Bangkok, with in my eyes, once you move away from Farang whore gettos' more to do. And EVERY time I come here, MORE MORE MORE girls look hot to me. Was in a major shopping area, came across 3 sex shops, now do that in Bangkok! That said, Wife would move here tomorrow if she could DOG
cavanami
I am usually in KL once a month for 1 ~ 2 weeks. Very nice. I stay outside the city center, in Puchong and Sri Petaling. Easy access to the city center via the train. Cost of a taxi is OK. One problem, beer is expensive, 100 Rm a case (and up)! Apartments cheap, we had a three bedroom, fully furnished, overlooking the city (nice view), in the Ampang area: $350 USD/month, which fit the budget nicely. Plenty of nightlife...live music...lively ladies, etc. ::
EasySt
Can Thai's go to KL without any special Visa's or paperwork like they can to Singapore?
Nervous_Dog
Have to agree with all the above, especially the beer! However I've learnt to bring in duty free. Food variety is good, and cheap! Even good restaurants are cheap compered to Bangkok. Taxis are very old though, cheap but old, and the new ones all charge double the rate of old ones, BOOOOO DOG
cavanami
Yes, duty free is a must! Food: for me, blach pepper crab is excellent!!! Taxi: always make sure they use the meter. Many taxi, like around Time Square will quote a high price and not want to use the meter. Just do the Thai smile and get out of the taxi, as there are many a taxi, so no problem. Guest
For me it would have to be Spain, south east coast...or the Algarve maybe. Both places you can find cheap little condos in a nice enough area for as low as 30,000 Baht month. Loads of golf, plenty of sun and sangria and knockout women. Plenty of ex-pats in most areas to mingle with. Aside from this, West Coast U.S would be ideal for me... i looked into moving to the States before deciding on Thailand a couple years ago... shit man, that is one seriously hard place to move to. No chance of staying for 6 months for me though....red tape is incredible, and allthough I'm British, i have a large American family (sister, bro in law etc) but that makes zero difference. Tiugh coookies, the American imigration.
chilli13
Yeah tough that having wifes who cant stand being far away from nearest sex shop!! In Thailand I was told they have them only undercover/black market, so need to know... At least moviestar porn is mainstream here or at least everyone seems to act as it was :hubba: Spain was mentioned by someone & apart from potential language problems I subscribe to that idea fully especially regarding Madrid
