itsmedave Posted January 15, 2006 Report Share Posted January 15, 2006 I've seen posts from time to time asking about Carabao concerts and other Thai stars...so a heads up for those who are interested. At my school, ASB, next weekend, will be a fun fair to honor the King's 60 years in power. In attendance will be one of the Princesses (Sat morn 10:30...before the official start of the fun fair), and several Thai stars, including Kelly Tanapat, John Nuvo, and others I've forgotten the names of. There will also be some renound Jazz payers from Europe...but I forgot his name too. Carabao is scheduled to give a 45 minute concert at around 6:30pm Saturday. There will also be lots of INt'l food, and games and such. Opens from noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday the 21-22. Admission 100 baht. You can also buy some kind of exclusive wristbands that are all the rage (I'll never understand that) And there are big raffle prizes including airplane tickets and gold. It's at the American School of Bangkok on Sukhomvit soi 49 next to Samitivej Hospital. If you come, I'll be the one stressed out wanting to go home. Buy me a beer. Count me in Another ballpark altogether than morlam at phra khanong last night, which incidently was 100bt as well & large beer changs was sold cheaply in plastic bags while katoeys were everywhere in sight!! Heaps of LB last night apparently for some reason, maybe they love nong benz junior? she did sing the 'katoey song' as well as suway. She really is a lovely kid and more talented than nong mai, seems to be loads of cute kiddie acts around following nong mai's success with the carrot song.. Mrs got pissed and ended up falling asleep in the taxi missing her stop. One of the katoeys was showing a pic around of her new 'pussy' done in saraburi at 63,000 baht if anyone is interested, ouch. Siriporn concerts seem to have the most fighting, she gives them a telling off from the stage. I imagine fly has the stats for mutilations, stabbings, shootings and people being set on fire at concerts. Nuvo was actually very good. I will be emcee today from noon to 6, (today being Sunday, Jan 22) and then others will take over. Carabao tonight...but perhaps only for a few songs.
