Guest
Here's a funny one.. I tried for weeks to find the right gift for a certain TG... I racked my brain.. She had all the basics, clothes, shoes, etc.. Plus she isn't really into perfume... So finally one day I asked her sister for some help.. The sister says that she wants to learn cooking... I immediately go to DK Books and get a small set of basic western cooking... HOME RUN! Needless to say the sanuk meter went off the charts.. Proves my point.. What works is very different from girl to girl... --UPSer

spirit_of_town_hall
Perfume being down to pesonal taste I've always found buying geuine designer labels really does appeal. Being Thailand they have a plethera of fakes, but buy them the " real thing" they wear it with pride and tell their friends.
soongmak
How about exotic fruit? Most girls I know love to eat all kinds of fruit, and maybe you can surprise them with strawberries, cherries and peaches. I will try it out next time I get to Thailand. I heard wine gums, chocolate and some sweet liquor like cherry brandy they do not sell in Thailand might go down well too. Chicago dave is also right, teddy bears are usually well received. Guest
SOONGMAK-- One particular TG that I know asked me to bring those liquor filled choclate bars that are widely available in Canada and Western Europe (but not so in the US).. I've never seen them for sale in the Kingdom... I just bought a small box of 30 bars... We'll see how effective the gift is.... --UPSer
