FAT_AUSSIE
Too many. with more than a dozen types of food acids present in most carbonated drinks your body will retain fluid to neautralise those acids placing greater burden on your heart. That's just the tip of the iceburg. I never consume what Aussies call soft drinks, I prefer unsweetened orange juice mixed 50/50 with ice cold water, and unless I'm up for a big night I just settle for a light or low alcahol beer instead. And as MaiLuk pointed out subtituting refined food for less refined foods, ie: white sugar for brown is a direction well worth taking. Keep your eye on the cook in Thai restaraunts, some times they will use a shit load of sugar in dishes you'd never think needed it. decieving. Fatty... Guest
There are drink out there that arecarbonated water with some fruity flavoring, artifically sweetened. and diet "sodas" or "pop" they have zero sugars, same artificially sweetened. If your a soft drink addict, this may be a subsutite you may find apealing as a replacement. Shiro
