You can apply for a passport in Australia but they will send the papers to Bangkok so it will take 1-3 months before you'll get the passport, but they can send it by post from the consulate to your home if you pay extra.

Fat_Aussie - having done the same thing I am a bit confused, we leave Thailand on Thai passports, enter Australia on Ausie ones (except wife) and then leave Australia on Aussie Passport. Airline ALSO sees that you have a passport of the destination country, no problem.

You CANT enter your daughter into Australia by her Thai passport IF she has a Aussie one, illegal interestingly!

Fat one, I can recommend the Thai consulate in Adelaide, very helpful Aussie lady in charge when I was last there. It's in Victoria square near market.

Hey, where in Adelaide you from?, I'm an former Semaphore boy and Seaton Hotel regular when in Adelaide.

JU2, Its a small world. Yes, I forget the womans name, she has a time slot on community TV here in Adelaide. She's OK but she tends to make me feel like a bit of a whore monger. Her receptionist has an arse that would challenge a Thai girls arse any day, very clique. That turns me on. Plus she makes sence when she talks.

Myself, I live nearby Adelaide in Cowandilla, Just off Henley Beach Rd. Not a bad spot, lucky I like planes.

I guess first hand knowing where my home is you'd prolly agree if there is a good western home to bring a Thai woman to, sleepy Adelaide one of them. I did live in Semaphore Pk for a couple of years when I was younger, only frequented the pub a couple of times, great pub food from memory. Semaphore's nice and the beach in summer is great. BTW seen the property prices in that costal strip. ching ching$$$

So far the plan will go like this.

wife and daughter will arrive in ADL, My daughter on her aussie, my wife on her Thai. During thier stay I will visit SYD and get a Thai PPT for my daughter and when they depart they'll do so on the same PPT's the arrived on allthough they will both enter BKK on Thai PPT's. This should be OK I think. I will give my wife a notorised letter giving my wife permission to escort my daughter home to Thailand.

Will do a ring around to double check but I think if I pick up a Thai PPT here in Australia for my daughter there should'nt be too much trouble.... I hope.

Thanks for all of the info and advice everyone.
