Hamokhamok
Thanks everyone. I will only need a sim for three weeks or so. Have a Thai friend keeping an eye on the adverts re best value now too. Will need to try and pick it up at the airport on arrival. Any suggestions where in the airport would be helpful. Last time I walked all over the place but coundn't find a shop that sells SIMs.
Guest
suadum said:I only seem have an issue when I call someone on another carrier Yes, the newspapers have been saying for months that the problem is AIS not having enough interconnections to the other carriers. The newspapers have also been saying that, with prices now so low, call volume is up, in both quantity and length, for all carriers. More calls and longer calls means more potential problems. Naturally the cell networks will be busiest in the early evening, so this isn't any one carrier's problem exclusively. The PM used to own AIS before he sold it to a foreign country, so he should have done something to fix the problem, at least for his own company. I use 1-2-Call and can connect everytime with other 1-2-Call users, but it is virtually impossible at times to connect to DTAC or Orange. GF on Orange seems to be able to call me with no problem and landlines never seem to be a problem.
