All--

I will be making a quick trip to CCS in late December (I've been many times before) but am wondering if any of you have participated in the sanuk scene in CCS???

FYI.. more Miss Universes and Miss Worlds come from Venezuela than any other country.. hummm..

We can either stay in Maiqueta (near the Simon Bolivar Int'l ) or more downtown at the Hilton or another hotel (forget the name) located along the Sabana Grande.

Anyone have knowledge???

UPSer,

I did the Venezuela trip back in May. I'm sorry I can't help you with Caracas, because I went to Margarita Island. Its about a 40 minute plane trip off the coast of Venezuela (Caracas). I spent 8 days there. The action was good but a little pricey. I did find one girl to spend a few days with me. The girls there are also very good looking. This girl was from Columbia, she and her cousin were working on the island.

Here is a site you might want to take a look atSexy Caracas home page

All--

Unfortunately I won't have time to get out to Margarita Island.. I called Avensa (Servivensa) and their flight times just don't match up well... So, I'll be stranded in CCS..

Thanks for the links will explore further..

Anyone else have good info or experiences..

UPSer,

Here are a few language translations for you...

1) Cuanto por un tiempo corto?=how much for short time?

2) cuanto por un tiempo largo?= how much for long time?

3) estas fumando?=(literly) are you smoking?

4) Lo siento, yo no conosco este es su esposa!!=Sorry dude, I didn't know this was your wife!

5)compra me una cola por favor?!=Please buy me a cola

6) tu eres muy guapo!!=you are a hunsum man!

7) la tienda de oro es alli!=the gold shop is over there!

8) YO VOY CONTIGO!!!!=I go with you!!

9) de donde es?=where are you from

10 yo me gusta un hombre de (fill in your city) el tiene un corazon bueno!=I like man from there, he have good heart!

11) las vacas de me familia son muerte= my families cows are all dead

bare these in mind, and I am sure you will have a great time. Half the fun of Sanuk is the hunt, and find a spot that suits you, though I do believe in prior research! Enjoy!

UPSer,

If you've not tried it, seek out a place called "Morrison". Not sure of exact location, but it's not far off Sabana Grande, Castellana area. Most taxi drivers know it. You will walk in, and 50 pairs of eyes will lock on you. Sit at the bar & you will have company in less than 30 secs. Can be some real stunners here, I see you speak Spanish, so you'll have a ball. With a bit of negotiaiton, you can get two for the evening for $50.

Another place - Imperial Palace - went many years ago, no idea if still any good.

My advice - dont stop out by airport, get a place in town, if possible close to the better areas (Altamira, La Castellana)

Have fun.....some of the girls that you see in Caracas are close to the most beautiful that you will see anywhere....

UPSer:

Be very careful. Do not go out unescorted. This report is more than a year old, so I don't know how much things have changed, but it is scary reading, nonetheless.

Violence Heightens Despair in Venezuela

By Serge F. Kovaleski

Washington Post Foreign Service

Sunday , February 27, 2000 ; A25

CARACAS, Venezuela-Funeral homes hire security guards to prevent mourners from being robbed. All-night pharmacies curtail opening hours. A man posing as a street vendor carjacks a woman and her daughter at a downtown traffic light. And the governor of the Federal District laments that people in some of Caracas's poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods are "slaughtered like animals."

Crime in Caracas and other urban areas in Venezuela has so worsened in recent months that the Metropolitan Council of Mayors convened a special meeting Wednesday at which members declared a crime "emergency" and analyzed how best to deploy their overburdened police.

Standing among the bustle of the Sabana Grande, a commercial walkway near downtown Caracas, street vendor Enrique Jiminez, 26, patted the .38-caliber handgun

under his shirt that he bought recently after armed thieves robbed him of $35.

"It has gotten so bad that you cannot turn your back for a second. And if you do, you better have a firearm to defend yourself because this place is becoming like the jungle," he said. "There are few people around here who have not been robbed yet. I hate to tell them, but it is just a matter of time until it happens."

Records show that in the Caracas metropolitan area, where the epidemic is by far the worst, 8,683 criminal acts were reported last month, up from 6,522 in December and 5,818 in November. For all of 1999, police registered 5,218 homicides, 33,685 battery cases and 40,940 robberies and car thefts.
