unit731
I paid the express fee at a travel agent in BKK. They take passport for a day (or two). If you fly to RVN, there is an airport fee in US dollars only. Same if leaving by plane.

Pescator
Hi Maisabai, Thanks for the link, I was wondering if the visa exemption for scandinavian nationals was still valid. Am considering a side trip to VN this time, but not so if I had to get a visa first. cheers Hua Nguu
whosyourdaddy
In Bangkok at least the sooner you apply for it the cheaper. They can do next day service if you drop it off first thing in the morning
Guest
In Bangkok at least the sooner you apply for it the cheaper. They can do next day service if you drop it off first thing in the morning At the embassy in Bangkok, you have until 4:30PM to drop it off for next day service. (At least, this was the case 6 months ago when I did it.) Travel agents, visa services, etc will set a deadline that's earlier than 4:30, corresponding to the time it will take them to get your passport to the VN embassy by 4:30. For example, the ones at the corner of Wireless and Ploenchit want it by 4PM.
