Rex7777
Buddha, I used to have a similar problem when I was about 25. I'd start out the evening with the best of intentions, but by the next morning I'd be home in bed with no idea whatsoever of how much money I'd spent or on what. Girls, drinks, taxicabs, dinner, hookers. It all added up fast. That was NYC, though. I don't live in Thailand, yet. That'll change in a few months, though. I plan on trying to lead a basically healthy lifestyle. Exercise, good food, lots of rest, little alcohol. To control the money outflow? Maybe lay low for a portion of each week? Something like that. billywan
Been doing the envelope trick for a while, works for me but requires some discipline. At end of the week, the extra envelope can be used for extra fun or forwarded to next week. Have fun!! KuhnB
Zorro
You could just put a daily limit on your ATM card that suits your needs. eg 200 bucks a day
buddha
Hi. Actually I just needed to adjust. I have gotten a good deal out of my system in my first couple of weeks and am settling in nicely. I am really content right now and am focused on the right areas. MooNoi
In the morning, go the to ATM and take out what you need for that night. Then, back in your hotel/apartment, get a glass of water. Drop ATM card in glass of water and put into the freezer. When you get home that night (if you remember!) remove glass from freezer so it's thawed-out by the morning. Trust me, this works!
