potica69
I've been to Bangkok twice now, and both times I stayed at the Nana Hotel. It's quite adequate for my needs, simply because I sleep there, and then after going to Nana Plaza and finding a friend, I just walk back across the street back to the hotel. Now, I'm ready to try another closeby hotel that's reasonably priced. Any suggestions? Thanks
cactus
I am a fan of the Manhatten. It is cheap if reserved on Bangkok Hotel websites, 1200bt or less. They have a very good breakfast and it is in a great location, close to most excitment. Construction is ongoing but was not a problem in early 2006. Snowman71
If you mean The Golden Palace on Soi 1, it sure is. 800 baht a night for 5 days or more. Not bad at all. Clean, air-con and a Pool...can't argue for that sort of cash, can you ?...

Mentors
Grand Inn, Soi 3 just cross Sukhumvit Rd. 100 Meter from NEP. small Inn hotel, guest friendly with ID check, take one of the the bigger rooms. Always a very good place for Nana visitors!
cagedsoidog
Not a very long list, so far.
shygye
Well, he did say an inexpensive hotel near NEP. That narrows down the hotel list.
trooper
If you mean The Golden Palace on Soi 1, it sure is. 800 baht a night for 5 days or more. That was 500 baht two years ago when I asked their price. Horrible looking place, I'd put it into the same category with Miami Hotel Woraburi is ok for the price but it's a bit far away from the Plaza.
