Palatkik
A friend just got a new 10yr UK 32 page pp from the Brit embassy in Bangkok for almost 7kB and 2 weeks wait. It comes with some electronic strip on back page now, anyone know how that works? Most annoying for him is that 32 pages is actually only 25 empty pages available for visa stamps as the rest are full of passport wording stuff. One of them is filled with th Thai visa transfer so only really a 24 page passport! Should last a couple years at most!
ultras67
Is it one of the new biometric passports? If so, you can see a small golden chip on the front. As far as I know thats just for america at the moment, everyone else uses the machine readable strip on the photo page. I know they are introducing them gradually but dont know if they are doing it overseas yet.

Palatkik
Yep, it looks like a biometric pp I guess. Same as shown on that blog site brought to my attention on another thread! http://morallydiminished.blogspot.com/2006/06/diable-et-mon-droit.html
