He was dehydrated and sunburnt and had told Australian reporters that he "felt a bit daft".

And that was after the first rescue. Does anyone remember the Roy and HG interview of Tony Bullimore, the British guy who got lost in the Great Southern Ocean. Australia spent millions on his rescue. He made a fortune from appearance fees book and film rights etc. He was all smiles during the interview as most guest are with Roy and HG until Roy Slaven asked him about how he was feeling about his new found wealth. Bullimore was estatic and then Roy suggested he should consider making a donation to the volunteer organizations that risked their lives to rescue him. Bullimore was outraged at the suggestion. What a prick.

Sure I remember Bullimore, Bust, he was less than graceful at that suggestion but personally I never begrudged the taxpayers money. The hardware was there to be used and it was a great exercise for the RAN boys who were all being paid anyway. What they learnt doing that will possibly be vital one day in having to look for one of their own people down there. Christ, what an awful place to be lost in.

<< Supt Richard Bryson, of the Northern Territory Police told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that officers had been unable to get down to the "nitty gritty" of the circumstances surrounding Mr Lake's latest trip because of the state of his health when he was found. >>

Oh, God ... copying the worst of American "culture".

You can say that again.

My indian work mate landed in Bkk just a week ago. First trip on a bit of R & R.

When he got out of the cab and checked in at the hotel he realized that he`d forgotten his tickets and passport in the cab.

Spent the entire day trying to track down the cab only to realize that his briefcase containing his stuff had gone.

Obviously he was feeling a bit down, so went to Patpong to watch an upstairs pussy show in order to be cheered up a bit.

In spite of him and his mate only having 2 beers each the bill was close to 6.000 baht.

He found it a bit steep but then again he managed to pay 100 euro for a beer in a strip joint in Paris last year.

Some guys are just a walking disaster.

cheers

hn
