Flashermac
The ones who could afford to emigrate went to North America. The ones who got caught got sent to Oz. The ones who were too slick to get caught stayed in the UK. This explains Tony Blair.
sayjann
'Blair and his cronies don't count'...... in the Highland clearances after Culloden they would have either run out of town or put to the sword......... at least the English (well Normans,Celts and Saxons) managed to get rid of dead wood eventually...... a pity the Foreigners are being allowed back into the Country with all benefits and rights given to them which are denied to me......... maybe time for another war with France to stop them from allowing all the refugees travel through France and giving them all the encouragement to travel to England......... Julian2
I remember the Everly brothers came to Adelaide years ago and their agent fucked up the hotel booking and they ended up at an out of town hotel that was more a drinkers pub than a place to stay. Every day before heading into town for their concert they would go down to the bar and have a few beers with the locals. Better not badmouth the Everlys at the Christies Beach Hotel!
