limbo
Beer Lao made it's way down to Samui. Friday I saw a big sign on a bar in Chaweng and Saterday I went to an Internet cafe and they had it. According to the owner of the internet cafe, a guy in Kon Khaen has the rights to distribute it and a few places in Samui have it. It's good!!!!! Flashermac
That's interesting. Have they broken the Singha mafia stranglehold? I remember a Laotian bitching about how Thailand would not allow Beer Lao into the country. Of course, foreign beer brands are not allowed into Laos. But that's different ... Does this men all those lager louts who clog the clubs in Chaweng are gonna come stomping into Laos demanding R&B, Hip Hop, Top Ten Chart Music and crappy Techno with their Bia Lao? jack_schist
does anyone else think that it tastes different since Carlsberg bought into it? Or I am just imagining it?
Fidel
Its a damn good beer. Brewed from hops I think. When I was there a couple of weeks back I noticed tonnes of the stuff groing around Luabgprabang... and it seemed that everyone in the market was eating it too... You're right ND, a Bia Lao addiction is hard to kick.. and hard to beat!
Flashermac
I saw it being stocked in Finnegan's on Soi Nana last night. That was a surprise.
