I agree with CT.

PTY stinks, is load, BUT is fun.

If I want laid back Atmosphere , I go to Hua Hin, Cha Am or anywahere futher south. for pussy, BJ Bars, Gogos and 24x7 party time: right . I go to PTY.

The beach SUX major, the water is very poluted even by Thai Standards and the smell on beachroad would drive anyone but the freelancers and Whoremongers more then nuts.

Pattaya Bangkok Hospital is better than any hospital, in USA, at a fraction of the price.

...

I am going to call you on this statement. Do you have ANY data to back this up?

What is their,

  • secondary infection rate.
  • death rate for heart bypass surgery.
  • death rate for kidney transplant.
  • survival rate for colon cancer
  • survival rate for stroke.
  • survival rate for hepatitus.
  • survival rate for breast cancer.

Plenty of cute nurses and short wait times does not equate to quality care.

Well its an interesting debate. On one hand wealthy Thai families do ocasionally got to Pattaya, stay at the Dusit and never enter the P4p zone. My best friend who is at the top of the food chain never had set foot into a go-go in all of his 48 years...We did go ina few and the girls were impolite and he was amazed that anyone would bother with "low class"girls as he put it... :smirk: No surprise there...

For me in the end Pattaya is a shit hole full of Mafia,whacko/ diseased Farangs and diseased BGs-Very few people care about anyone elses health-They all just pass it around-Yea there is ALWAYS the exception but in general its like Tiajuana with better looking girls and more variety- I stay away.. :stirthepo :smirk:

And the beach water is filthy-absolutely filthy- :(

I have no idea about the various statistics you question.

But if I were to be diagnosed with colon cancer, by BPH, I would give them credit for an accurate diagnosis. Than I would evaluate my options, with consideration to BPH.

I was an inpatient there for an E-Coli infection and the care was excellent.

BPH makes Mt. Siani in New York seem like a slum hospital in every respect, except, for certain doctors and surgeons who are among the best specialists in the world. I think it depends on what you need.

If it's a sudden emergency, the best hospital in the world is the one you are admitted to when you're sick. You can't shop around when you're having a stroke.

It ever occured to you that you catched it in the water?

I was at BPH because of an Ottitis Media, i had a cold and the infection spreaded to my ears, my ears filled up with fluids and I was unable to fly. They simply put me on low dosed antibiotics, and asked me to check every 3 days. 4 weeks later the entire situation hasn't changed much so I went to memorial hospital, they upped the medication and gave me some flu mediaction too to get the stuff out of my head. 3 days later the first ear popped open, the other one was poked a hole inside to drain the fluids! My impression about BPH is that they let me come every 3 days on purpose. They charged me 2800b for every visit because I was insured. I found it very greasy. My doc at home said this could have been done in 5 days max!

I also heard very good things when someone was seriously sick. What BPH didn't know is that my Dad lost one of his hearing on one ear of a middle ear infection. They were kinda playing with my health!

I didn't catch it in the water. I was in PP, Cambodia, when I started feeling sick, booked the next flight to BKK, same day, than on to Pattaya where I fell very ill. Next stop BPH where they treated me quite professionally, IV, antibiotics, etc.

I caught a double ear infection swimming in Boca Chica, D.R,, so I'm familiar with how serious and painful that can be. I made my way to an ER, in Santo Domingo, where a course of antibiotics cleared it up.

Okay, good you didn't catch it in the water. You definately could if you accidently swallow a mouthful! An E-Coli infection is definately nothing funny. Good you got a proper treatment

The Ear infection wasnt painful at all, i was just almost death, could only hear myself!

I am trying to get the water tests for you, I read about them once and I know there is an organization whos keeping track of it 3 times a week. The result was shocking!

Luckily I never got sick from food and I am not even careful about what I eat! I have eaten from the greasiest food stands you can think of and I eat at least 2 times a week on the pork bbq at 3rd Road opposite Exzyte, these porks are not exactly fresh but taste delicious and my stomach seems to be stronger than many others. My friend usually get Dhiarrea when they go to nasty places with me :)

If you get ear infections to many times you should see a doctor about that before it gets chronical.

The only time I got an ear infection other than at Boca Chica, DR. Swam at Wong Amat many times without problems. I saw a specialist in New York and he said I was okay.

I hope you never get food sick. It's terrible. E Coli can lead to some long lasting negative consequences. It's better off to be safe than sorry. Good eating health tips are in every guide book,

One problem is they don't wash the vegetables enough and the two minutes they are tossed in a wok is not enough to kill the bacteria. They also let things sit around and the bacteria breeds. Soup is an answer.
