JannikOJ
I got a task for you gentlemen. Its called "spot that beer". As we all know it can be hard to find a decent pint in Thailand whatever your preference in beer may be. But now that the Belgium Dog has made life easier for those who like the Belgian stuff im kind of like "hey - what about me"? I love Czeck and Slovakian beer. Seen any around? Alternatively, because i know that question was a long shot. In your opinion, whats the best pilsner draught available in Bangkok? Feel free to put out a search on your favorite beer on this thread. Cheers!
junglesoup
I agree, it would be great to get some czech beers. Starapramen is good, Budvar of course. I think there is a massive undeveloped market for beer in bangkok as its taken over with heineken, singha and chang.
Bangkoktraveler
I used to love stout beer, especially the kind you can get in Canada that is almost as thick as molasses. My next favorite is malt beers.
Orangutan
I love Anchor Steam brewed in San Francisco. Deep amber color, thick creamy head. -Orangutan
ALHOLK
Why has nobody mentioned Samuel Adams. This is the only American beer I have tasted that could hold it's own against the best European beers/ales.
limbo
Budvar rocks.
ALHOLK
I hope you are refereing to the original. Any which way I think that Urquell is better.
Julian2
I've found that beer is a bit like red wine when it comes to taste and quality, after the ninth or tenth glass it all tastes the same.

TheBelgianDog
The imported beers market is undeveloped due to the fact the importation taxes are far too high. Why do you think I am forced to sell a beer 130 baht that I could pay at home 70? (and the 130 generate only 10 baht profits) This is the reason why the belgian beers are an added value rather than a profit maker thing.
