Last Time I was Late in Sin we watched

Problems with asking taxi drivers is that they'll take you to semi-hostess bars usually, where they get a cut for everyone that they deliver. These places aren't as fun as the simple bars, bleak as they may be. There's three or four in the very lower suk area, a couple mentioned here already (sin and the metal grate place on 11). if you ask the nana girls who end up on lower suk after close where to go, some of them will know. Since the selection in these places can be dismal (and the lighting low) can be worth the effort to pick up a few girls on suk and then go for a late night out together. For something different, you can go out to the Rachada garden bars, which have hundreds of people and stay open very late - mixed crowd.

 

Anyone know the current status of the former Lao Chalern, the upstairs bar on Petburi near Asok?

There is a place at the end of Soi 7/1. It's that little Soi that Coffeeworld/Subway is on. You will hear the Bass as you get near. Usually have to go around the back and knock on the door then go up 2 flights of stairs.

 

Some real meathead farang shitheads in there as well but some freelancers. They will stay in there till 6am waiting for the skytrain/busses to start rolling again so they can go back home.

 

The Boss is better though if you can get past the meathead farang shitheads. Watch out for pickpocket katoeys.

The Tavern on Patpong 2 is, I believe, open 24 hours. Nothing much happening in the early hours but if you just want a late drink then pop in. Usually a few staff to keep u company.
