Bangkoktraveler
Japan should admit to having 'comfort women' during WWII and the US should admit to 'comfort women' for their soldiers at any port that will let them in.
Hugh_Hoy
"Comfort women" were "conscripted" and probably had no choice; whores patronized by U.S. service personnel are not held against their wills in brothels set up or managed by the Dept. of Defense. cavanami
R&R This is old news. Japan has already apologized and paid $$$ to Korea for this...guess what...the Korean government took all the $$$ and none of the $$$ went to the women! Our wonderful news media has "forgotten" to mention and make known the entire story!!! WTF!
Flashermac
Japan should admit to having 'comfort women' during WWII and the US should admit to 'comfort women' for their soldiers at any port that will let them in. As Huge Hoy noted, the "comfort women" were forced into prostitution. A Japanese law prohibited Japanese women from being forced to do this, so the comfort women were all Korean or from occupied countries. Cav may be right about Japan paying the Korean govmt and the govmt glomping onto the money for themselves. Sounds about par for the course.
