cavanami Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 Halliburton will move HQ to Dubai DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Oil services giant Halliburton Co. will soon shift its corporate headquarters from Houston to the Mideast financial powerhouse of Dubai, chief executive Dave Lesar announced Sunday. ADVERTISEMENT "Halliburton is opening its corporate headquarters in Dubai while maintaining a corporate office in Houston," spokeswoman Cathy Mann said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "The chairman, president and CEO will office from and be based in Dubai to run the company from the UAE." Another US Company Goes Offshore! Maybe some Dick had his Cheneys in it? Wanna bet that moving to Dubai will raise the prices, regardless the major tax breaks!!!??? Hopefully they won't dump too many employees in Texas! The company will continue to be incorporated in the US, will continue it with most employees based in Houston. The CEO is moving there to be closer to where the action in O&G business is today.
