drlove
There is a TV report running on Pattaya People TV news about a farang who set up a video camera in his room and taped a session with a woman. Apparently she wasn't aware of it, until she saw the camera afterwards. She then called a girlfriend, so the report goes, and asked her what she should do. At that point either she or the friend called the boys in brown. The farang deleted the tape before they arrived, but they still seized his camera and computer for "examination by experts." What is going on here? Is having a tape or photo of sex between consenting adults illegal? There was no indication that he would sell or post it. Is this an "opportunity" for Boys in Brown to make some good tea money? Or was this mainly related to the fact that someone complained?
Julian2
If she wasn't aware of it, she didn't consent did she?
Bangkoktraveler
That farang is stupid and he got caught. If he has a digital camera, somebody will probably bring the video back to life. Sounds like he got off easy - just his equipment. If I was him, be happy that is all that hapens.

BKKanalist
He should be on the first plane out of town if he has a brain. Some video cameras mark hard drive space as available, ready to be overwritten, and do not delete anything. If he is an idiot, without a Thai person who can fix this for him, he could find himself in the position of being prosecuted. The higher this goes the more it will cost. It is a known fact that falang brought prostitution, AIDs, pollution, nudity in bars, traffic congestion, Carpenters music, crime and pornography to Thailand. It would be sad to get blamed for all this while on vacation.
limbo
It's Ok by me if they brought all that stuff into Thailand, but I most surely hope we don't get the blame for the Carpenters music bit. That's OTT IMHO.
Flashermac
It is against the law to produce or appear in pornography in Thailand. And this guy has done BOTH! He should bugger off ASAP. This is what Nong Nat got burned for a couple of years ago. The police went after her for a porn video shot in Pattaya about 6 years earlier when she was 19. Actually, she was dropped in the sh*t by the Japanese company, which re-released the old Pattaya porn with her real name and clips from her legitimate Thai movies at the beginning.
