Steve
50 years? More like 50 weeks. They'll be out in the next election. 50 years only if the Dems go along and they won't.

Flashermac
<< Sheehan never had a chance really. Too flakey. >> Didn't exactly help that she divorced her husband when the kid was quite small and had had no contact with her son for years. chuckwoww
Yeah Rove must have laughed his ass off having her represent the anti-war movement.
foreigner
my gut feeling is that Colon Powell nailed it going in -- you break it you bought it. we cannot leave their oil reserves in that political environment we have created a hatred that will last for generations .. generations that MAY have a much brighter financial future than globalized america. MY feeling is that WE started a war .. & that WE cannot unilaterally call off the war after WE destroyed THEIR society because it is not convenient that they resisted our proposed hegemony.. if we were more successful in military domination how many hawks would be having second thoughts now? + Iran is a problem for the hawks & MOST americans are america first(ONLY?) hawks. american god & american culture & american corporations rule the planet .. IMHO, ask 10 americans & 7 will agree! a 10 sq mile helicopter pad & the largest Embassy building on the planet 1.5 b$ per year just to maintain the embassy maybe just wishful thinking on Cheney's part? IF I WERE IN CHARGE: 1st a draft, no deferments. then tax increase to pay for the WAR gas tax? + protectionist taxing on imports?
foreigner
re Tony Snow: are you inferring that Tony was unprofessional, off topic or 'speaking out of school'? IMHO, he is a hard core republican that is always on topic. he is the vary accurate voice of gwb's goals. i am 70% against Tony's personal positions .. but as opposed to Rove / Bush / Cheney .. I respect him & his integrity. he was hired to present the white house position & I believe he is doing his job well.
chuckwoww
I think Snow believes what he's saying. But he's pretty good at double-speak and deflecting questions too.
