shotover
I have a friend relocating back to his home country in a couple of days. He has a lot of clothes, some furniture, and other items he would like to donate to a local charity or church. Is there a 'Goodwill' equivalent in Bangkok, or can anyone else suggest an alternative, preferabley in the lower Sukhumvit area? Thanks

shotover
Thanks. My friend contacted the Father Joe organization and was told they only accept cash donations, or expensive items that can readily be converted into cash. The Baptist Church on Soi 4 did accept his furniture and used clothing. Now they need to find a needy Thai who can wear US size 13 Nike tennis shoes. danno6
A couple of years ago I had lost alot of weight and brought several business suites back to Bangkok to get altered (where I had them made in the first place). The Tailor could not alterthem because I had lost so much weight :-). My girlfriend (now wife) broght them to a local temple for their use. No idea where, though... On a side note, I could probably wear them again now :-(
