radioman Posted September 12, 2007 Report Share Posted September 12, 2007 A question for the suitably network savvy I think. My laptop has an ethernet port and a wireless facility built in. I can connect a cable to my router and connect to my isp, at the same time I can have the wireless network facility connect to my neighbours access point and from there to his isp. Can I do anything useful with this? It would seem ideal if I could effectively up my apparent bandwidth by use of the two connections. Cheers M. Paillote Posted September 14, 2007 Report Share Posted September 14, 2007 You can, but my guess is that all your traffic will be routed through the gateway of one of the ISPs, and the second will be used as failover. expat Posted September 14, 2007 Report Share Posted September 14, 2007 I have about 3.5mbps from one TOT and one TTT connection combined using a load-balanced router.
