Menam Riverside like most hotels located on the riverside are def not guest friendly and joiners are high at 1000 Baht per guest per night. Usually enforce this policy as well, with many conferences and families. Menam has recently been renovated and offers nice rooms and facilities. Flashermac
The Shangri-la is withing spitting distance of the Skytrain station. Easy enough to get around from there.
torrenova
Shangri-La would be the one to choose if you have the choice. Join their reward scheme to get some extra benefits.
Hamokhamok
Thanks for that information. I was expecting Shangrila to be non guest friendly. I now find that the conference will be located in this hotel and it would be like shitting on your door step if you landed down to breakfast with a nice young lady in tow. Some eyes would be opened then. So maybe an alternative arrangement will have to be made.
shygye
Usually, the TG of the evening like to sleep instead of going for breakfast.
Hamokhamok
Just thinking about that again. I agree with you. Indeed it could go the other way too ----- have to go work at 5 am --- story. Will soon have to make arrangements.
Hamokhamok
Thanks for that info re guest friendly Shangri La. However I note its not mentioned in the Guest Friendly hotels in Bangkok. Anyone here with any experience of this hotel ??? Will probably be staying here. Is there any bars or other places where young ladies congretate and leave themselves available for some mattress gynastics ??? Thanks in advance for any information about this area.
