chuckwoww
You remember a recent article posted here? That one of Bush's oil(y) cronies did an oil contract with the Kurds, which is against the directive of the US government, which wants have all Iraqi's in the oil deals. It seems that the reality on the ground has already moved in a certain direction, and that's not the direction Bush is moving. And I am sure the Kurds will not give the oil fields away for free... Yes the KRG has been signing oil deals against the wishes of the Maliki government. Bush does nothing of course. Those concessions are inside Kurdistan. The Kirkuk region is where the large fields are and ownership is disputed between Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen.
