Fidel
Jesus wept! NEW YORK, March 14 - The dollar fell below parity with the Swiss franc for the first time on Friday as fears about more credit turmoil and a U.S. recession sparked broad selling of the U.S. currency. The dollar fell to an all-time low of 0.9987 Swiss francs , according to electronic trading platform EBS. It last traded at 1.0026 francs. And my silly Thai GF, against all my advice, moved to the US to work last week.
dean
There's no shortage of jobs at Thai resturants or massage places in U.S., even now!
Badger77
Here in Japan, the dollar just fell to a 12 year low. Under 100 yen to the dollar for the first time in recent memory. 98 Yen to the dollar.
elef
And my silly Thai GF, against all my advice, moved to the US to work last week. As long as she's spending the dollars inside US there will be no be effect as the american inflation is low, probably BoT will keep the baht fixed against the dollar so not even a problem if she'll send money to Thailand - in that case she could have earned more if working in other countries of course... :happyeaster:

drogon
More seriously: There are quite a few jobs in Europe for Thai people (and not bargirls). In the F&B sector and in the services industry. I helped a bit the 3 Thai students here in Madrid and now their realize that there are jobs for qualified Thai people here. Cheers and good luck to both of you in the USA
