MooNoi
My MSN Messenger is fine. But my YM is kaput! Whenever I open YM, and want to chat with someone, I can't see what they write, and I can't write anything to them. I am using Mozilla Firefox, however I then get a message box on the screen stating: INTERNET EXPLORER SCRIPT ERROR NOT ENOUGH STORAGE IS AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE THIS OPERATION file://C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\BMqEgT9STtEZpv3AOEiWog-- And then I get the message saying "Yahoo Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close" or words to that effect. And so it does. 1) Why is it coming up with a message saying "INTERNET EXPLORER SCRIPT ERROR" when I am using Firefox?? 2) How can I fix my Yahoo Messenger? I don't have any other applications running at the time (only MSN Messenger and Firefox) and MSN Messenger is running fine. It's really REALLY annoying! Thanks in advance! mongatu
Well as a first step, I would try reinstalling Yahoo Messenger.
MooNoi
I have alreaady done that - and tried 3 different versions of it. Same thing every time regardless of which version I re-install.
jai-dee
Some possible fixes here: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/yahoo-script-error-t167371.html If none works, try these: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=%22INTERNET+EXPLORER+SCRIPT+ERROR%22+%22NOT+ENOUGH+STORAGE+IS+AVAILABLE+TO+COMPLETE+THIS+OPERATION%22+yahoo+messenger&meta=
MooNoi
Thanks Jai Dee - appreciate your reply. But still no joy. Every search I've done on the net that reveals people who have the same problem involves people using Internet Explorer, but I'm using Firefox. Shouldn't really make a difference to YM though. I'll just keep on battling away. Thanks again though. Moo
jai-dee
It says in one of those links (sorry but I can't find it any more) that YM uses IE something or other to connect, even though you use Firefox. So don't just skip the fixes that involve IE. But then I've never used YM myself.
