I still think the great Farang novel on P4P in Thailand hasnt been written, and I always felt that many of the older posts would have been solid gold research for a writer. Some really in-depth stuff in many of the posts from a few years back, and it usually had everything readers want in a novel - sex, intrigue, deception, violence, pain and, occasionally, redemption. Nothing like living it yourself, but I dont know how many writers are prepared to put themselves out there publicly - it would be a little like becoming a junkie to write about addiction.
